Context: NCT Dream just won album of the year (at MAMAs, I think) for #ISTJ. They now have a new album coming soon that member Jeno mentioned was going to “cost less to produce.” I tried to be optimistic, saying maybe it would be more melodic with less dense production, but…#SMEShenanigans
Finally getting my first full listen of ISTJ - NCT Dreams new album, and I love it. So much fun.
Aside from the pre-release Broken Memories (which is a bop) and the title track ISTJ (which is also awesome and full booming bass and crazy sounds, headphones recommended!), I am loving Blue Wave. The pipes, the pretty NCT harmonies, and a sweet summery island vibe. But mainly, that descending vocal riff from Haechan, Chenle and Renjun .. squee!!
