Here are pictures of another batch of thin Danish #yoghurt being seperated into liquid and solid, something like whey and Greek yoghurt. The first picture is how the yoghurt like like to begin with and the next one is the solids.. the final pic is the liquid that strains through. This time I used a kitchen towel which is a bit to tightly woven. Cheese cloth is better - it soaks up of the liquid

The recipe in question is:

4C flour
1tsp salt
2tsp sugar
1tsp baking powder
err 3/4 tsp yeast
2tbsp oil
4tbsp yogurt
1 cup milk

I'm a bit worried that the milk and yogurt is going to cause the breadcrumbs to burn or spoil.

Tonight’s #kitchenexperiment is a unique twist on my recent #okonomiyaki theme: swap out scallions for diced-up regular sweet onions, add some chopped up yellow plantain banana… and you get what I choose to call a Tico-nomiyaki! The Lizano sauce on top instead of “normal” okonomiyaki sauce is optional, but a fun #costarican addition to this Japanese-Tico fusion.

I got a #breadmachine and the first recipe I tried was WILDLY inaccurate. Only called for 1.5 Tbs of flour. I was skeptical, but I'm also quite literal, and thought perhaps French bread is different. After the third rise it was still a soupy slosh, so I threw it out, downloaded a new user guide from the website, and discovered that it should've been 2 cups of flour! No errata or mention anywhere online of the weird recipe!

Over lunch I started boiling up some and have just put them into a slow oven.

A begins…

This is a step towards an experimental and possibly bad-idea supper of a savoury oatmeal porridge.

While eating a Sunday-morning porridge occasionally, with the prerequisite brown sugar, cinnamon and cream I've speculated that there might a way to pull off a savoury supper version.

Thinking this may fall into the traditional category of gruel?
