Riding along, I saw thick smoke filling the sky. Sirens started going off everywhere.
I had to pull my car over three different times to let fire trucks rush past. An apartment building was burning right before my eyes, the smoke burned my eyes.
I’m praying 📷 that everyone made it out of the building safely.

A black wall on which many, many black and white photographs of (mainly) men can be seen. What is special is that almost all of those pictured survived the camp and some even lived into the 2000s.

Wooden passageways and side parts of huts behind a cordoned-off area. These parts are original parts of the camp.

A model of the camp. In the foreground you can see a barrier in red, white and black (the Nazi colours). If you drive through it, a dead straight road leads to the end of the camp. Halfway along the road is a gate that leads into a heavily secured area (with barbed wire). This is where the prisoners' accommodation (barracks) is located. A camp garden can be seen on the left in front of this gate. Vegetables were planted there. Administrative buildings and seating areas are also visible. It is noticeable that there are trees at the front of the model. It looks almost "cosy". The barracks, on the other hand, are not very attractive.

The model from the perspective of the barracks. They stand to the left and right of the camp road. It is noticeable that they are close together. There is no space, no greenery, nothing to provide shade. Just several rows of barbed wire.
