Although the Mac mini with the Apple M4 chip does have a pretty respectable graphics performance given its small size, it's still nowhere near my boring, old gaming PC.

I just ran the "Shadow of the Tomb Raider" benchmark on the M4 and managed to get around 25-35fps in a 1440p resolution. Just for comparison, I then booted up my PC and ... well... it managed over 200fps. On 2160p 4K with highest settings. Holy cow! Probably not a fair fight.😅

It is running macOS 15.6 Sequoia. I’ve turned off automatic updates and I’m installing the latest Sequoia point update now.

Thank fuck I don’t have to endure that abomination macOS 26 Tahoe.

Okay, here's something I really DON'T like about the new MacBook Neo. It looks like it doesn't support any scaled resolutions using a 4K display. If you want your icons to be bigger, you'd have to use a smaller resolution. This is really unfortunate. 😟

My M4 Mac mini is giving me these scaled options, which are a lot nicer to look at.

Turned it around, found lots of dust in the fan. Cleaned it and added 4 adhesive feet underneath.
