I am getting to the point where I am simply using #macOS, signed into my #iCloud account, to make my 2011 #MacBook #Air a second screen for my #MacMini.
Is there any #Linux code available yet to support that? If #Apple is blocking it, the @EUCommission has just made it a legal requirement (under the #DMA) they enable it this year!
I now have an extremely minimal #Dock 😂 and have switched off all #iCloud services.
I am still logged in to my #AppleAccount, but cannot extend the screen to my #MacMini, even though everything looks like that should work. Any ideas? 🙈
I ordered a couple #MacMini computers off ebay (I'm allowed to get a little treat if it's used; I saw an anime that said so!)
One of them seems to have a mysterious button poking out of the side. I'm wondering if this is a mod, as I can't seem to find anything about it online.
Unfortunately, they did not come with power supplies, so I have to wait for those to show up to investigate further...
@AeonCypher I think it's just #AntiRepairDesign to shaft consumers and #overcharging them for essential upgrades by making it technically and financially hard or unfeasible to #upgrade.

Nachdem hier ständig #Linux gehyped wird, dachte ich dass ich mal meinen alten #MacMini 2012 aus dem Schrank hole und aufpimpe. Naja, ganz so einfach war das dann doch nicht, Die ersten 3 Versuch u.A. mit Ubuntu Jammy Jellyfish und Kubuntu gingen ins Nirwana. Mint ist dann schließlich sauber durchgelaufen 😅
A game that was only tested for #steamdeck yet is running fine on #asahi #asahifedoraremix on a #macmini #m1 is the result of the dedication of a fantastic community of contributors, and I thank them for the work making it simple to play steam games on arm linux. (yes I know I'm ram limited)
