Honestly what made my #twittermigration easier was using https://bird.makeup/ created by @Vincent@librem.one because there are just some accounts that won't leave #Twitter and this gives me that stop gap for information and none of the drama.

Can someone point me to an #ExplainLikeImFive explanation of how the #fediverse WORKS?

I have #mastodon and #pixelfed accounts. How do i connect them? How hard is it for a viewer/reader to understand?

After the gut punch of Elon Musk’s Twitter, I’d like to transfer most everything to #FOSS and probably the fediverse.

I’d prefer something I can read, as opposed to video.

#Mastodon does NOT keep #Metadata when you upload JPEGs. Not surprising. Most sites strip out this information when they re-compress pics. In theory it's a good way to sign your work. But you're better off putting your signature directly in the image itself.

Windows lets you edit the metadata of JPG images in the file's properties (Details tab) You can select multiple image s to edit all of their metadata at once.
