В обновлении Material Design 3 Expressive была проведена работа над оживлением пользовательского интерфейса. Одним из нововведений стало добавление 35-ти новых форм, а также поддержка shape morphing между ними. В Compose всё делается не сложно. Google подготовил подробную документацию , следуя которой можно делать разные забавные вещи. Однако если Вам нравится работать с View больше, чем с Compose – реализовать подобное будет проблематично. Поэтому я решил попытаться упростить эту задачу и написать свою небольшую библиотеку для этого...

Building secure peer-to-peer messaging apps is tough, and it's even tougher to get people to switch from what they already use. I've noticed that a great user interface and an intuitive design often matter more to people than terms like cryptography or end-to-end encryption.

That's why I've started building a UI library to tackle this head-on! It's a work in progress, but the goal is to create a more welcoming and seamless experience for new users.

Struggling to get #MaterialUI and #Tailwind to cooperate in my company's fledgling #React app(s)

My guess is that both are clashing in the way they're setting style rules

My only question would be: if we're using Tailwind already, why are we using an opinionated component library like MUI anyways?

All the utilities and frameworks have been kind of decided on before I joined the team and if I ask to restructure the whole thing I'm gonna be met with rather stark opposition with some argument that will boil down to sunk cost fallacy :drgn_hide:​

Is #rust for #webdevelopment really ready?

Just setup some projects using #dioxys and #yew (I speak mostly #react) hoping to push #javascript out of my pipeline in favor of #wasm, and it was honestly painful. Probably not *more* painful than setting up a #typescript project, but everything's so fresh I don't get the benefit of ten billion tutorials.

Actually, what I miss most are the really mature component libraries like #mui and #semanticui. I think the best we get are wrappers (which work best with pure css libraries like #bulma).

Maybe there's a unicorn out there I'm missing.

Not sure how I feel about an "open source" component library with features behind a paywall... there was backlash when Mapbox did it, and a hard fork how do folks feel about it in #react land?

I was using segment UI before but Material seems to be de facto these days.

Is anyone a #nextjs / #materialui / #mui user?

I've deployed a next site with mui and I see all of these `<style data-emotion="css-global 1dx8jiq">` style blobs running around.

Is there a way to optimize that or condense it down?

I think when the site is cached with gzip/brotli it won't really matter, but it's weird coming from Tailwind.
