Dramatic dark clouds with a break in purest white from which radiate many rays. Further out at sea, veils of rain are suspended from those same clouds. The sea surface is reflecting the brilliant sunlight. The pier in the foreground, with its old cast-iron bollards running allong the waterline along a diagonal from low on the right hand side , is in stark contrast. The further side of the harbour mouth a sandy with screes of small black rocks.The backlight turns it almost into an outline. The silhouette of a mountainous island is visible above the horizon.

Esta tarde ha salido el sol y hemos aprovechado para hacer un trozo del camí de ronda, bordeando los acantilados donde el Pirineo se hunde en el mar. Además de subidas y bajadas, hay flores por todas partes, pinos, encinas y olivos. El mar estaba del azul correcto, seguro que @oneeyedman daría su aprobación.

Black Head for #seawednesday

We're in the Burren in Co. Clare again. It's a very special place. It is the only place in the world where Artic/Alpine and Mediterranean/Subtropical plants grow side by side. This is due to the unique karst landscape and its microclimate. It is home to about 1100 plant species out of the 1400 species in the whole of Ireland. There are also two butterflies that live there - The Pearl-Bordered Fritillary and the Brown Hairstreak which are not found anywhere else in Ireland. 🦋 Oh! There's also a really cute fox that my Dad has basically adopted. 🦊 😂
