Warum sollte man sich eine Kamera mit mehr als 24 Megapixeln und Vollformat kaufen, wenn die Fotos hinterher nur online auf der Webseite, Instagram, Facebook, Mastodon usw. gezeigt werden.
Wofür Vollformat, oder sogar Mittelformat, wenn ich hinterher die Fotos verkleinern muss, damit ich sie online zeigen kann.
Ich frage für einen Freund der seine Bilder nicht groß ausdruckt.
Frage zu #fotografie an den Fedi-Schwarm: Lieber eine "große" #digitalkamera mit #vollformat oder z. B. eine Systemkamera mit mehr #Megapixel aber kleinerem #sensor ?
I am running into issues with posting pictures on pixelfed. There is a size limitation. It says that the limit is 5000 kilobytes, but it appears that it is really a 5 megapixel limitation. Standards like jpeg and HEIC compress 9 megapixel images into image files that take less than 3 MB, so the wording is wrong. Please use megapixel instead of a byte measure if that is what the real limitation is. #pixelfed #limitation #megapixel #usethecorrectterms #jonlh

I'm so curious how the #NeXT #MegaPixel Display testprint will come out.
The very first test prints of three parts of my #NeXT #MegaPixel display. And oh boy… the middle part (that one with the ribs) is a nightmare for #FDM printing! Horrible post processing getting rid of the support material! This is wh. y I'm thinking of buying a resin printer. The customers will appreciate it too. Because the parts will have WAY BETTER surface quality!

Wow! 3 specific parts of my #NeXT #MegaPixel display take almost 18 hours to print on the #BambuLab #X1C. On a resin printer (Saturn 4 Ultra), #Chitubox tells me it takes 3:43h. And that's with significantly better print quality.

Oh wow! I was curious, so I uploaded all parts of the #NeXT #MegaPixel Display for #SLA printing to #JLC3DP. Just to see how much the resin print would cost. All parts, printed with black resin including surface treatment, add up to about 225 EUR! For one(!) display!
It's funny that #FDM printing is even more expensive, with poorer surface quality.
The parts for the #NeXTcube mini cost a similar amount. I'm starting to have my doubts as to whether anyone will even buy it

Since the IPS panel (an 8-inch 4:3 panel from #Pimoroni, by the way) has a small board with a keypad, I designed a control panel for the #NeXT #MegaPixel display on the bottom of the case. This way, it doesn't interfere with the original design, and the LCD can still be controlled.
