Thry opened a new #microcenter in town, so I treated myself to a new mainboard.
Motherboard manufacturers: once you get past about 2 m.2 slots, PCI-E slots are more useful. I can't add SCSI or SAS, or a TV tuner csrd, or a parallel port, via m.2. But you can get a PCI-E to m.2 card for peanuts. Hell, pack one in the box.
This is 98% of the reason I bought an otherwise pedestrian board (MSI Pro B850-P)-- it has four slots, a rarity in this era.

I was with my sibling last night perusing #MicroCenter and they noticed that it appears that Redragon's graphic mouse pads have AI-generated images on them.
It's a shame because my opinion on the quality of #Redragon was actually increasing in recent years.

Argh! INLAND PLA+ spools from Micro Center are just a bit wider than other INLAND PLA spools. The spool adapters I printed for the cardboard spools don't fit. Need to scale them up a hair it looks like. Not a huge deal, they only take about 5g of filament each to print— but I printed 4 for my 2 new rolls of filament before noticing. Kinda annoying that they aren't consistently the same size spools!
I really feel like I should be better at upgrading my computer hardware.
But I am, apparently, not.
This makes me sad. Off to an unscheduled visit to #microcenter tomorrow…
