"This microscope spins - and the shots are insane"
Micro portrait of a really Itsy bitsy tiny spider in the flowerleaf of a rose in the garden for today's timeline cleanser. Don't be scared 😉 💛

The city has been coated in pollen for the past few weeks now it seems.
As far as I can tell, most of the visible part seems to come from pines, but there's a lot of different kinds.
Even better, this one was probably worth the time and effort. #microscope #microphotography #lichen
Much better. Focus stack of 15 images, visible part of stalk is about 1-1.5mm long. #microscope #microphotography #lichen
I fumbled these lichen (maybe Cladonia cariosa, but probably a Cladonia species) and got a bunch of detritus on the cover glass, ruining a whole bunch of photos, but I may be able to fix some of it. In the meantime, these pictures didn't suck. #microscope #microphotography #lichen

Definitions in #photography … 🤨
#macroPhotography is the practice of making small objects look big…
so logically…
#microPhotography would be the practice of making big objects look small. I guess like #astroPhotography does…
BUT, and this really pisses me off, it turns out that many photographers believe #macroPhotography = #microPhotography, cowardly replacing the hard '=' with weasel words like 'basically the same'.
Cut that shit out people, it makes as much sense as dietary calories.
