In this paper I explore the boundaries of what is mathematically possible when constructing universes of set theory. A "universe of set theory" can be thought of as a model for all of mathematics, and what we, set theorists, like to do, is build different kinds of such universes.
We have two main tools:
1. Take a universe, and add stuff, to create a larger one;
2. Take a universe, and define inside of it a smaller one.
In my paper I use both methods: I extend a given universe and build a larger one, in which I use a specific definition to construct a smaller universe.
The cool thing is, that I can use that definition again - to get an even smaller universe. And again, and again - infinitely many times!

- It’s for visiting parallel dimensions, alternative realities or whatever you call it.
- Then I want to visit a world where I’m married to Uma Thurman, I said.
- Sorry, that won’t be possible.
- Scarlett J then?
- Nope.
- But why?
- You are you and you aren’t married to anybody. We can look for a reality where Uma is married to an equally big-nosed overweight smartass wearing the same…
- I don’t think I like your invention.
- But there’s a lot of other funny places. Think of Avalon, the land of beer lakes, or a TRON sequel. You can meet Wes Crusher, if you like.
- Let’s go! I want to know what he meant with “distracted quantum eraser“ in episode 12.
- But we’ll have to roam around a bit, it’s for calibrating the destination-murksifier.
- Fine by me, but I gotta be back for the next home match.

So we climbed into the vehicle, a very stylish machine. I had to promise not to touch any control unit except for the radio button. Roger took the wheel, of course, and off we went!

It was amazing! I instantly forgot Scarlett and Wesley when we flew through an ocean of colours and patterns and mandelbrot things, until we landed inside what looked like a medieval town.
- Hey, this must be Nuremberg, Roger said. I know that castle from the insurance ad.
- You’re sure?
- Well, mostly.
- But why is the radio news in… Is that Latin? Or Middle High German?
- Can’t say, but it sounds like they’re drafting for the Crusade...
Someone was knocking on our windscreen. A guard.
- Good morning, strangers. May I inform you that your vehicle is positioned within a no-parking area as it is interfering with the market customers.
- Oh, excuse us. We will move right away.
- Thank you, sir, but first you’ll have to pay a fine of 24 silver pennies.
Roger and I exchanged glances.
- Let’s find a place where the Storchs win the finals, okay?
- Good idea!
