this is triggering me so hard right now.... f*** you demandbase! (and all the other databroker &$!§"$@!)
I got a mail the other day, notifying me that they are processing (work related) data about me - they got from "somewhere" - and how I can object to it. Well, I do not know you, I did not consent, why not try do the process...
So, they are using the plattform "onetrust" (bad name!) to manage this. I fill out the form, submit a request for opt-out and one for deletion. About a day later I receive two confirmation mails for my requests. You need to log in with your mail (huh?) and a one-time code you receive per mail!
Well, turns out they do not delete your data. I might need to do this again (and again...). This is what you get back:
"Hello,
Thanks for submitting your deletion request. Your information has been flagged and will no longer be accessible to Demandbase customers through our databases. Please note that we have not deleted or erased your personal information. If we did that, we would not have a record of your request that your personal information not be provided to our customers if we obtain your information in the future. Instead, we have kept your personal information in a way that will not be exposed to Demandbase customers.
If you wish to have your personal information erased, knowing that might mean that it will likely be provided to our customers in the future should we obtain it from another source, please submit a new request here and reference this request.
Regards,
Demandbase Privacy Team"
