They do have an issue tracker, so I head there to file an issue!
... alas, the issue tracker uses Recaptcha.

Has anyone tried creating a Github account recently? I deleted my old one, telling myself smugly that I had no need of it cos I'd moved my stuff to a mix of in-house Forgejo and CodeBerg. Then I wanted to report a problem on a third party Github repo I was using... sigh.
Anyway, there's a recaptcha system that offers a visual puzzle to prove I am human. I have to click on arrows which move a person around a group of seats (like in a theatre). The idea is when they are on the correct seat I hit submit.
Except they never do land on the correct seat. Well, sometimes they do. But I have to go around 15 times (I need to be REALLY human) and sometime in the first 5 times I hit this situation where there's no right answer.
I am, of course, talking with their support, but interested if anyone else has seen this.

Since archiving my #RECaptcha package, i haven't receive one single complaint after #Google made it paywalled.
Since then, my #Turnstile package has been downloaded 1,000 times, 89 times less than the aforementioned.
I wonder if downloads will spike on Laravel 13, since there will be no support for it when it lands next february.

Vor vielen Jahren (nach 1998) bestand für eine bestimmte Bestellung übers Internet nur die Möglichkeit, #PayPal zu verwenden. Dann wurde es mir zu doof, derart beschränkt (beide Bedeutungen) zu sein - nur die #Bahn zickte noch herum.
Der "Einbruch" in die PayPal-Kontodatenbank war der ALLERLETZTE Grund, dem Laden nach mehreren Jahren der #Nichtnutzung "Auf Nimmerwiedersehen" zu sagen.
Gestern abend hatte ich schon anderthalb Stunden mit Bilderrätseln von #Google (#reCaptcha) verplempert. Alle rund 30 Tests fehlerfrei geschafft, nur die langen Übertragungszeiten von meinem 2005er #Thinkpad mit #Debian 12 und dem aktuellen ESR-#Firefox haben dem Automaten wohl nicht gefallen. Hauptsache, ich hab diese #Scheiße offiziell hinter mir.
Und jetzt zurück zum Thema: #Klimawandel, #Klimaschutz, #Technisierung, viel schlimmer als #Thiel und PayPal.

Why are big business websites so utterly shit.
All I want to do is spend money, but Paypal doesn't have a functional "security check". I login, using the correct password (or an incorrect one!?) and it says it's performing a "quick security check" which never completes, or if it does show a reCAPTCHA, doesn't do anything after I've passed it.
Sigh.
Why?
After far too much stuffing around, it turns out that the secret to logging into Paypal is to go through the "forgotten password" flow first.
Here's another major problem with #age #verification that nobody is talking about.
It will circumvent anti #fingerprinting measures.
When you change the way your device appears, your user-agent, canvas api etc you will need to re-verify as the site doesn't recognise you anymore. This occurs with #cloudflare and #recaptcha already.
This will enable every device online to be identified. This is the wet dream of #authoritarian govts.
