Just read the new terms for c.im. I feel like this part is still a little too fuzzy:
“ You are encouraged to share your personal experiences here. But in doing so, please do not engage in personal attacks or make broad statements that attack/offend others - simply because of who they are.”
It seems like this could be used to shut down marginalized people from discussing the discrimination they face by a dominant group. By naming the dominant group, those who belong but may not be subject of the criticism may take offense at being “broadly” lumped in and report the post.
I worry that this, continues to make Mastodon, and this server according to that term, less safe and welcoming to marginalized and discriminated groups. I know we’ve already had a few instances on c.im where posts discussing racism were taken down while some racist comments have remained. I think this section needs additional clarity.
