Exhausted, hungry, in pain and can't really do anything about any of it, so I took a shower, that really did not help matters, before hand I trimmed my nails, fingers and toes, not only can I barely see my toes they are blurry far away thingmabobs, I simply don't bend with the dexterity of a ballet dancer dropping the clippers more than use them, anyways I took a shower where the hot water felt nice but as my insides felt like ice the water made my outsides feel like fire, then to get out and I put on one of my clean unionsuit undergarments, reach for my socks, I have or I should say had 2 bunches of brand new socks, that are no where to be found, I dumbed my little tub that holds my socks and underwear, and no new socks anywhere, I have a bunch of mis-matached pairs thanks to disappearance in the dryer and acquired holes, if I cared wearing them the ones that are left, would certainly raise awareness as they would be very odd pairs, my brain can no longer function, my eyes can barely see, my body fails to move and work, then there is the whole disparity of a disabled life existing in poverty, yea I took a shower, look what good it brought me;

It is Tuesday February 10th, and this #disabled man existing in #poverty is really truthfully struggling, from constant pain, to sleepless nights, hunger filled days, my blood pressure is on an continus rollercoaster, my executive cognitive function is declining, my hands don't work the way they should, vertigo keeps me dizzy and sometimes between bad knees and that I have issues walking, stooping or bending down, I fight with what I can eat today verse can I afford to take a shower and will I have clean clothes to put on, I have a near non existent disability income, that can not cover even a quarter of life today, every facet of my life hangs on a precarious precipice, I have no safety at all, I am begging for help to live, I am begging for compassion and dignity, and sadly it nearly never comes, what does trickle in on occasion is never even enough to offer breathing room, O it is greatly appreciated more than anyone will ever realize, but it is never really enough to even begin to weave a net of safety little lone take care of the urgent needs of the moment, people I am exhausted mentally, spiritually and physically, I need a major infusion of financial support, and I have never expected one person to bear the brunt of my burdens, rather I hope that all will help how they could, with the compassion empathy and understanding that if was them in need would they not pray for the same, in March I turn 48, I am disabled and in poverty, and with no where to turn for anything, I have had a very hard life, how much longer must I be forced to fight and endure an existence void of compassion, empathy, support, respect, dignity, and safety, please I am not in a good place, please help me climb out of this hell of desperation today;

After yet another night of restless sleeplessness and pain, the old man drags his breathless lifeless corpse out of a sunken bed of jagged thorny iron and glass shards, as the classical music plays he drags himself off to prepare his coffee, as his legs are weak and his hands tremble, he manages to pour in the water and count the scoops of grind, unable to yet see he fumbles to plug in the percolator, as the coffee begins to perc he stumbles off to the toilet, his bowels bellow out in a hungerous painful scream, in the mirror a blankly staring man stands with disheveled hair and beard, as the old man tries to tame his mane, his hands struggle to hold the brush, shuffling back to his bed he struggles to pull on his socks and pants, he pours a cup of coffee and carefully packs his pipe with scraps of tobacco, he pulls on his coat and stumbles outside, the morning is dark and gray, the air mild and moist, as the world begins to wake, not one seems to care for the plight of another day this old man is to endure;

People really can not comprehend what life for me is like, for all the similarities between many of us, we all have a truly unique experience, Some of us live in full out hell, from the very first breath we take, our lives are not just trying to climb an un-climbable mountain, but having to do so under constant fire, the world it's self is a dark desolate wasteland that is incredibly unforgiving to life it's self, and when you introduce society that is indifferent to your personal trials, issues and barriers, life it's self becomes an overwhelming war that your faced to fight not just each day, but with every step and breath you take, become disabled and thrust into poverty, and you will soon find the majority of what is supposed to be a community of humanity simply does not exist, you fight to eat each day, you struggle to keep clean, if by chance you manage to keep a roof, your battle is even harder, because you simply can't manage the basics for the resources of day to day life many take for granted are not there, add constant pain, a failing and aging body, a mind that is so overwhelmed by time that often you struggle to see, far too long I have had to beg just to barely exist on any given day, for if only the world would hear what I have to say, and actually come together and help me raise my ultimate goal, within the hours of a single day, then not only could this broken man live, and care for himself, but very much within the realm of possibility I could create a life in where I could offer help and respite to those in need like me, but people you all see are far from loving and compassionate to me, no they rather I disappear deep within my despair, I am below the well of desperation, but I refuse to fight for my right and chance at life, and for those like me, I fight for you as well, within my last true ability in life I put into words the only fight I have, the only way to build beyond disparity, for those who wonder why you do not do more, this is all that is left within my soul to do, for if you cared you would pick my cross to bare and offer me some respite so I may still have more chance to fight;

It is rather tiresome how very little people comprehend the effects of disability on the body, how poverty exacerbates disability, how difficult life truly is, they question things that for a moment had they thought would know the answers to, the lack of compassion and comprehension is both staggering and damaging to those in constant need of support that may slowly if it all trickle in, while the outside may see appearance of normal or fail to see the actual need, for it becomes burdensome to try and bite your tongue, for the lack of actual humanity simply is more than one should bear;
