Пані та паніні, а хтось з вас пробував піднімати owncloud #ocis? Бо воно переписане на #Go, і хочеться щось що вже кимось користується, проте воно вже не на #php як легасі #owncloud чи його форк #nextcloud.
Spannend: #Heinlein schreibt, man könne sich aus juristischen Gründen nicht so richtig dazu äußern, wie sich #OpenCloud von #OCIS unterscheidet. Pro tip for #owncloud #nextcloud #ocis and #opencloud Always check a public link with or without passwords by opening it in a private browser tab before you send it. Can be a life saver! And you can see how beautiful your PDF viewer, your folder view or your direct collaboration with #collabora or #onlyoffice works.
@niklaskorz @notthebee Yes, I would highly recommend to use #OpenCloud instead of #oCIS. The core developers of the latter have switched to work at @heinleinsupport for the development of the fork. From what I'm hearing OpenCloud is set up for a much better future compared to oCIS.
Was für Update-Geplagte... So einfach ist ein Container-Update mit #opencloud oder auch #ocis (ownCloud Infinite Scale). Keine Dependency-Hölle. Kein PHP. Hier lädt Docker die neuesten Images runter, beim nächsten docker compose werden die neuen Versionen automatisch gestartet. Bei Fehlern hat es dann der Hersteller verbockt, aber Testen sollte das dort abfangen.
@rotsloeffel Ja, ich bin recht happy seit ich mit meinem Projektmanagement bei #openproject gelandet bin - via #kanboard. Kalender + Adressbuch macht #Radicale und das wird ja offenbar auch gerade in #opencloud integriert, korrekt, @dragotin ? Was mir an #ocis und damit auch #opencloud so gefällt / immer gefallen hat, ist dass es mich aus der der PHP-Hölle befreit hat und ich damit viel Zeit sparen konnte, zweitens die Performance, drittens der von mir immer schon bevorzugte Ansatz des KISS.

@thoralf Ich fände interessant ob #heinlein den #ownCloud Client aktiv ausgesperrt hat, oder ob es bereits so kurz nach dem Fork Inkompatibilitäten gibt. Ehrlich gesagt hätte ich vermutet, dass der Client funktioniert. Bei #oCIS war die Konfiguration aber auch nicht ganz trivial um das zum Laufen zu kriegen.

But I agree it would be nice to see those services combined under one hood. But not like #Nextcloud does. I'd like to see separate services with strong APIs, that can be run side by side as needed but sharing a common UI so the user won't notice the integration.

@matthias @holger Yes, the OwnCloud client works great, and YES OCIS is *the way*. It is where all of OwnCloud's attention is now.
I've been running it for about 6 months and the only complaint I have is the iOS app's 'files' integration is horrible. That might be because of the way I have it set up through my cloudflare tunnel, but who knows. It should work. #ocis
