And those guys, that some say where involved in the development of #stuxnet, told us that they bought owncloud because of OCIS technology (owncloud infinite scale), which they called "best on the market" and the "future platform for us"

I recently began setting up my own linux home server. It's modest in size and capabilities. I'm currently running #ownCloud, #Jellyfin, and a private wiki, and plan on hosting my own personal ActivityPub instance (haven't decided on what flavour yet.)
I was thinking about setting up a super lightweight git server. Beyond that, what are some cool things that you've done that you'd recommend giving a try?

@gse Zwei Abspaltungen von Karlitscheks #owncloud verfolgen unterschiedliche Geschäftsmodelle: #Nextcloud bietet eine selbst zu hostende Software an. Heinlein hingegen vertreibt mit #opencloud ein vollständiges Paket als Dienstleistung, ähnlich wie andere Cloud-Anbieter (Google, oder Microsoft usw.). Dies könnte für kleine und mittelständische Unternehmen attraktiver sein als Nextcloud.
@FrankM #OwnCloud wurde von #Karlitschek entwickelt, der später das Projekt verließ und 2016 mit dem Fork #NextCloud einen alternativen Dienst anbot. #OpenCloud scheint wiederum ein Fork von ownCloud zu seien, diesmal mit einem Unternehmen im Hintergrund, der das ganze als kommerzielle Dienstleistung vermarkten will. Mehr hab ich da auf Anhieb nicht gefunden.

Your instance is located in a sub directory (say yoursubdir)?
And your browser fails to load logo.svg (status 500) which causes oauth token invalidation?
#TIL Three lines in your nginx.conf work as a workaround:
location = /core/img/logo/logo.svg {
try_files $uri /yoursubdir$request_uri;
}
Alternatively put a (custom) logo.svg at the expected place.
I managed to get my personal #ownCloud server up and running this weekend, and it's working a treat. A major leap forward in my divorce from Google. Feels good!

Vibe coded something to fix my OwnCloud's broken calendar reminders. Email worked on the server, but wouldn't send out email reminders. This will fix that. It's available as a docker image if you want.

Autre exemple plus récent (il faudra voir ce que ça donne sur le long terme) : #OpenCloud (fork de #OwnCloud). Aussi, on a, #OrganicMaps (fork de #MapsMe).
