It's clearly designed by committee, taking the worst aspects of #instantmessaging, #filesharing, #collaboration, and #voip and then putting it thru a blender and then dumped into an .exe.
Granted, it is deeply integrated into #Microsoft #Windows but it's equally awful in a web browser.

Kurze, einfache Schritte Richtung digitaler Souveränität! Heute ein wirklich kleiner, aber super einfach umzusetzender Schritt: #FileSharing! Dateien zu groß, um sie mit Email zu versenden? Dann braucht ihr einen File-Sharing-Dienst, der Dateien per Download-Link verfügbar macht. Am bekanntesten ist vermutlich #WeTransfer. Dieser Dienst geriet unlängst stark in die Kritik (siehe z.B. https://www.heise.de/news/Wetransfer-wollte-sich-Rechte-an-allen-Dateien-krallen-10488660.html), da sie Inhalte umfassend selbst nutzen und auch zum #KI-Training verwenden wollten. Sie sind nach heftiger Kritik zwar zurückgerudert, der Dienst steht aber auch sonst wegen Datenschutz durchaus in der Kritik (siehe z.B. https://dg-datenschutz.de/wetransfer_und_datenschutz_wie_sicher_ist_die_datenuebertragung/).

In my younger days, I found a lot of interesting #MP3 files on #filesharing sites.
One trove was obscene misogynist and racist songs that were professionally recorded in a studio. I mean, there were backup singers and everything.
I didn't actually delete them but they were never backed up.
I thought it was important that these had existed, even though I only listened to them once because I couldn't bear to hear those backup singers who sounded like they could be Black women singing those lyrics.
