Aber ich bin unglaublich froh, dass wir jetzt die Option #24_7 haben. Natürlich wird während der #openlibrary Öffnungszeiten etwas „schiefgehen”. Aber das passiert auch, wenn wir vor Ort sind. Menschen sind unterschiedlich, aber die meisten halten sich an die gemeinsamen Regeln. Und wäre unsere Bibliothek mit einem quadratischen, übersichtlichen und gut einsehbaren Grundriss genauso attraktiv wie der verwinkelte Grundriss mit Blick auf den grünen Campus?

#openlibrary ist ein doppeldeutiger Begriff. Die Bibliothek ist nicht offen 🔑, aber der Bibliotheksausweis öffnet den Ort Bibliothek. 🪄
Damit schaffen wir die Option, die Bibliothek flexibel zu öffnen, wenn sie für Studierende der TUHH gebraucht wird, ohne einen Wachdienst zusätzlich zu finanzieren.

Dennoch, dass so viele Besucher*innen jetzt plötzlich vor der verschlossenen Tür stehen, weil sie den Ort nutzen aber keinen (40€-) Ausweis haben …

Chose que je me demande comment ce n’est pas encore intégré à #InternetArchive :

1) le fait de pouvoir soumettre une demande de modification sur une page auteur, livre ou édition avec les ID détecté comme quand on les intègre sur #OpenLibrary

2) ou encore que les éditeurs puisse avoir leur propres page (et détectable comme les auteurs). Parce que actuellement c’est juste du texte.

Déjà évoqué l’idée sur leur github/slack mais si ça avait été voulu ça aurait été intégré depuis longtemps

J'utilise régulièrement @inventaire pour ma bibliothèque mais j'ai du mal à comprendre a quel rythme et comment se mettent à jour les résumés. Par exemple j'ai fait plusieurs contributions sur #OpenLibrary et je ne vois pas les résumés remonter vers #inventaireio (malgré l'utilisation de la fonction d'actualisation depuis les bases externes) ou alors pas de façon systématique. Une idée ?

While the technical issues I had with my #BookWyrm instance are now resolved, I did take the opportunity to experiment with #NeoDB .

And I must say, I _am_ impressed with how fast NeoDB is - and how quickly it gets media information from other platforms. With BookWyrm, much of the time I had to manually add new books to #OpenLibrary to get it into my lists. With NeoDB, the system _very_ quickly searches a multitude of sources, and almost always seems to find something within a few seconds.

If you haven't committed yourself to any specific platform, I recommend that you check it out.
