@lazyb0y @antaa I can't tell why you not like Fedora however I can tell what I think.
Personally I like a lot of the ideas that Fedora has but the execution of them is lacking from my point of view.
I prefer #openSUSE since there's a more methodic approach. You can definitivly feel the effect of the enterprise and regular user distribution being unified.
For Red Hat there's a clear cut. If you like Arch than you might like Tumbleweed.

@nixCraft #openSUSE Tumbleweed works fine for me in this aspect. :-) Every build is tested etc., so I'm fine wiht it. :-)

Oh, I was forget mentioning #opensuse #tumbleweed, running and experiment it on some of our VMs.

Also have tried others like #arch, #manjaro, and so on, but looks like does not match with my taste.

I had to reinstall #opensuse, because I could not get ridoff an error (may tinkering arround to much)...
Reinstall is really fast and thanks to my person install docu ... done in an hour. I really love #opensuse so much

@FallenWalnut When it comes to Linux, what is the reason going with pop_OS? You could have chosen #SUSE & #openSUSE? One of the oldest distros there is, and from the EU. SLES (and Leap) covers business and enterprise, Thumbleweed being rolling and having the same gaming performance as CachyOS?

Turns out, the missing icons is an #ubuntu bug - tested on 25.10 and 24.04 with default ubuntu theme, and the issue was the same. On #fedora and #openSuse #Leap everything works as expected...

Help. I get this error in #opensuse tumbleweed. any hint:

TIL: Thorsten Kukuk works on no_new_privs/NoNewPrivs aka removing suid binaries from #openSUSE

Reading https://www.thkukuk.de/blog/no_new_privs/ I never realized how many such binaries exists.

Also #Linux people using an #XPPen tablet holly shit, its cool they provide native drivers, but man is it a buggy mess under #Fedora and outright won't work under #OpenSUSE #Tumbleweed.

Will my #OpenSuse kill itself once again during the system update?

@stefano I have yet to spend any meaningful #time on a system which uses #Wayland. It's still on my to-do list

I used it briefly on #openSUSE Leap 16 until the OS irritated me enough to blow away the install with #FreeBSD 15. In short, it lasted about 30 minutes.
