I’m still amazed Columbo had movie length episodes and was on for so long. They don’t make them like that anymore.
I found that #DangerMan / #SecretAgentMan is on Prime (as is #ThePrisoner and #TheSaint ). I love the Prisoner, but I’d never seen #PatrickMcGoohan in Danger Man before.
It’s a very fast paced show. At ~23 minutes, they cram in a plot that really deserves a 50 minute episode (like the Saint), so there’s no wasted moments. Even the dialog is rapid fire.
I appreciate McGoohan’s skill at taking on different personas and accents.
I can see why they wanted him for #JamesBond .
There's an episode of "The Prisoner" where a new technology ("speed learn") allows an entire 'university education' to be beamed directly into peoples brains. Everyone is amazed and excited by what they know! No more tedious studying! No books.
Of course... every person knows exactly the SAME collection of facts; and all they can do repeat the facts back verbatim because they have no understanding or contextualization.
