Both #Mobian and #PostmarketOS (#Alpine #Linux) repositories block updates over #Tor, but so does GrapheneOS. However, it is possible to have onionized repositories with #Debian on #Termux.

proot-distro with alpine can install (apk add) #rust and #cargo. Just add the required libraries and #Arti is built! PostmarketOS is built on Alpine and, interestingly, "apks" and "sdks" derive from Alpine, not from Google.

I wonder if microG can be installed in PostmarketOS. The Tor Browser should install on mobile linux devices (whether #Posh or #Gnome, etc). Until then, you can modify the proxy settings in #Firefox to use Arti. Onionsites could also be accessed this way.

Т.к. на мой пост про опыт использования кем-либо постмаркета (линукса на телефоне) на Google Pixel 3a никто не ответили, я решила, а стану я тогда первой! Иии...вот результат. Используя свой прошитый на линукс нинтендо свич, я прошила PostmarketOS на етот внеочередной объект моих экспериментов!

Скажем так, впечатления за месяц...интересные. Использую, конешно же, Плазму Мобайл, т.к. я очень влюбилась в сие окружение. Это...явно баганутее андроида, но и гибче. Сам телефон ощущается приятнее современных лопат. Не огромный, но и не компактный (будь ты проклят, рынок телефонов). Тонкий, лёгкий, вообщем, самое маленькое и самое неубитое, что я могла найти, что ещё бы и поддерживало смартфонный линукс. А ЕЩЁ ОН МИЛЕНЬКОГО БЕЛЕНЬКОГО ЦВЕТА И ЕГО КНОПКА ВКЛЮЧЕНИЯ ПЕРСИКОВАЯ!!! Это всё, что могу пока сказать текстовой формой самовыражения. Скоро можете ожидать обзор на это чудо на моём пиртуб канале, а пока мне надо его поковырять чуть подольше для более объёмного видоса.

I cannot express how cool this is. This is the first time I’m running Graphs on a mobile phone, and it just works. Quite nicely as well.

#GNOME and #libadwaita has really made it very easy to make your apps adaptive and behave nice on mobile phones. This is really powerful stuff. So many applications work really nicely on #PostMarketOS.

@postmarketos systemd seem to have some issues with flatpaks on different DE. Seems confirmed atleast on sxmo-de-sway sxmo-de-dwm and lxqt.

Looks like the issue is around ambient capabilities. This was fixed in #phosh upstream so systemd phosh pmos probably never ran into this issue. Seems like the fix phosh implemented is to drop it on start up so we might want to do something similar to other DEs.

I just received a refurbished OnePlus 6 that I ordered to test #PostMarketOS.

A few immediate observations:
- 6.3" is **way** too large as a screen size, and it's a tragedy this has become standard
- Nothing substantial has happened on the phone market in the 7.5 years since this phone launched, specs are perfectly fine to run a modern phone OS
- PostMarketOS is _really_ nice with #GNOME. My first impressions are something I could daily drive

@fabi1cazenave @Setok soms months ago I bought a #fairphone 4. I've tried #ubuntutouch and #postmarketos and since I'm 'investigating' #sailfishos For now I like sailfish a lot, all seems to work and the GUI is very nice.

I think I’ve narrowed my choices down to #SailfishOS and #PostmarketOS at this point. I’m gonna buy a suitable second-hand phone and try. Worst case, I’ll fall back to /e/OS.
