#iCloudDrive is so buggy, copying data off it to anywhere else is likely to result in an incredible amount of error-messages. You’ll need to click on OK and re-try as many times as there are files in the directories you’re trying to copy, or you’ll need to download an archive of your entire drive. This makes it extremely cumbersome and time consuming to migrate data off of #iCloud.

Also true of you download the folder before copying it.

It has happened multiple times to me.

And it happened a few minutes ago. Someone I had messaged some weeks back when they asked something was just asking now for help finding some resource. I vaguely remembered the name, so I checked.... and yes... I had messaged them some weeks back, and they 100% ignored my message back then.

Well, excuse me while I don't trip over myself to help you now when you ignored my previous message.

I'd rather not be ignored twice.

Yes I think to get the mesh network benefit you have to make something called a forum or maybe group and then members can forward messages to eachother

Did you know that it's inherently condescending to scare people off of their interests by assuming that they are likely to face a negative consquence that will scare them off from their interests, even if as a joke?

Example given:

Yeah its too late to set up now. Mestastic, when it can be set up, can provide a more semi permanent network than briar but its just for text messages its too slow for anything else

My hope is that people in all countries will realise that it can happen there too and prepare accordingly

In these situations Briar messenger https://briarproject.org is better because they have mesh networking using bluetooth and or wifi which can allow a crowd to communicate even when theres no internet

Meshtastic does something similar but requires custom lora radio nodes to have already been placed nearby

Nobody here "needs" to see it whether they like it or not.
