@ice I see you made some games with #RPGInABox; may I ask you for some personal opinions? I'm specifically interested to try and make some simple attempt at a low-res bitmap platformer; I understand that the engine is presumably aimed more at top-down & fps, but from some vid making a 2d platformer seems also possible, and making flat bitmap visuals as well. Thing is, I lost too many years of my life *procrastinating on* writing "the ideal 2d engine for my game", so I hope maybe RiaB would let me skim over graphics, use some basic physics, and just try focusing on having fun toying with levels design, story, interactions, and simple animations... what do you think, could it work for me? what were your joys and your frustrations?
