Played #OoT randomizer for the first time, and it took me 6 days to finish. A lot of time went into finding hidden Deku Scrubs that sold important progression items.

And then the mask shop ended up holding the Light Arrows and the Golden Gauntlets, with the final mask being with a scrub in Ganon's Castle.

It was fun, but not as accessible as the 2-ish hour ALttP and Metroid Fusion runs.

The first time I played #TheLegendOfZelda #OcarinaOfTime was 1998, and I played it a few times on N64 and GameCube.

Then I played Ocarina of Time 3D on 3DS.

Now I'm playing #TLoZ #OoT #randomizer for the first time and just realized that a specific Gold Skulltula is accessible without Adult Link/Hookshot by restarting Dodongo's Cavern and traveling through the upper section backwards.

Which was necessary to get the Song of Time in my run, and the whole thing was driving me NUTS!

I recall not really feeling up to any sort of #speedrunning back in the day and just going for completionism instead, so there's a distinct possibility that this is my first time actually clocking in at less than 2 hours in this game.

Anyway, generating these randomized runs via #Randovania and the #m4rs code/functionality.

Might look into how to implement door lock randomization in the future, but happy with the regular dev builds now.

The screen normally shows counters for energy (i.e. health), missiles and power bombs, as well as the various pieces of equipment collected.

In this case 1299 energy, 175 missiles, 42 power bombs, and the following equipment divided into categories:

Beam – Charge, Plasma, Wave and Ice
Missile – normal, Super, Ice and Diffusion
Bomb – Normal and Power
Suit – Varia and Gravity
Misc. – Morph Ball, Hi-Jump, Speed Booster and Space Jump

Notably, Screw Attack and Wide Beam are missing, which would be obligatory pickups in a vanilla playthrough, and there's also a counter in the upper-left for the number of Metroids collected (4 out of 4), which is a mechanic that exists only in this randomizer.

Samus is somersaulting onto a Screw Attack pickup (a circle/ball with a lightning bolt 'S' on it), which is an item that doesn't exist as a pickup in the vanilla game.

The following text is shown on-screen: "Screw Attack ability regained. Somersault into enemies."

Jets of Time Ice Age mode cleared! I'm estimating that it was just a little over 4 hours IGT. Also, I just noticed it was quite fitting I finished it with an ice attack!

So...I ended up having to start over because the game was in an unwinnable state. Basically locked into a quest for a character whose era was still locked.

But, that meant I got to try out the Yakra skip! (And now I know what NOT to do after getting Go mode)
