Police responded to an active shooter situation Saturday on campus at #BrownUniversity in #Providence, acc/to the school’s alert system. Officials said a suspect was in custody.

The #shooting was reported near the Barus & Holley building, a 7-story structure that houses the School of #Engineering & #Physics Dept.

Chris Hosey, the director of the #Georgia Bureau of Investigation [#GBI], said the charges stem from Gray “knowingly allowing” his son to possess a weapon.

Gray is in custody & the charges are “directly connected with the actions of his son & allowing him to possess a weapon,” Hosey said.

The father of the teenager accused of #Georgia’s deadliest #SchoolShooting told investigators looking into an online threat last year that he had been teaching his son about #guns & hunting, & that the boy claimed that his account had been hacked.

At some point, Caldera said someone pounded on his classroom door & shouted "open up!" multiple times. When the knocking stopped, Caldera said he heard more gunshots & screams.

He said his class later evacuated to the football field.
