Tried to watch #RedSparrow yesterday with my partner. We don't often have time for movies with two kids, one an infant, so we had really looked forward to it.

It. Sucked.

Acting was fine, plot was fine, scenes were all cut strangely short and taken out of context, feeling disconnected and making you put the plot together yourself from fragments. We never made it through it.

3/10, don't bother, go watch The Recruit instead.

Two good movies in 1 night tho. First the "Oh my goodness what wondrous villainy" marvel of Dennis Price in #KindHeartsAndCoronets, and then #RedSparrow. Possibly not quite the same + more gruesome- despite the murders in the first one -but not bad either.

No idea why people keep going on about Alec Guinness' 8 roles in the first one when Price (+ 1 of the women perhaps) is what you appreciate in it. Wonderful + recommended in any case.
