Pride Walk – Roze Maandag, Tilburg Kermis (Part 1)
Yesterday, I attended the Pride Walk during Roze Maandag at the Tilburgse Kermis — a celebration of love, freedom, and being unapologetically yourself. Roze Maandag is more than just a day of pink and glitter. It’s a statement: you are welcome here, whoever you are.
This is part one of a five-part series covering the event. Today’s photos, taken with my Canon 5D Mark III and Sigma 100–400mm lens, offer a gentle start — portraits of energy, color, and connection. You’ll see a lot of pink, yes — it’s tradition after all — but also strength, joy, and humanity in motion.
Events like these are important. They give visibility to the LGBTQ+ community and celebrate the right to exist freely in public space — something still not guaranteed everywhere. Photography can help document that presence. A camera becomes both witness and amplifier.
More is coming — each post a bit louder, bolder, and more full of sparkle. For now, I hope you enjoy this first look through my lens.
