I saw some YouTube videos about the "Goldeneye sound effect", a sort of pitched-down percussion. The author of the soundtrack said once it came from an E-mu Proteus. And since I had my desoldering iron hot, I proceeded to an inspection and a partial recapping of the #Proteus/1 #rompler that sits next to the #Microverb. It was a wise choice. Many capacitors on the power supply were in bad shape and would not have survived much longer. There were even signs of leaks on the plastic sheet on the bottom of the case! #Recapping.

Yay! Just fucked up DeepSeek by asking it to write a control system for the Roland JV-1080 using a Behringer BCR2000 controller.

It both neglected JV-1080 checksum and then when reminded about that didn't know about the different checksum calculation protocols on the BCR2000.
