My guess is that these two distinct stats got distorted/merged in some minds & then incorrectly shared, in amongst all the excitement about #RubinFirstLook, with the BBC journalist. In the future our #scicomm must be better. Great that BBCR4 More or Less exists though to issue these corrections! 🔭

The best part of : the exquisite quality, sheer number of frames, and algorithm matching for each asteroid detection. As expected, this is game over for all other "citizen science" projects or amateur observations out there, at least for MBAs: who can beat this?
