Yeah, the general consensus seems to be every dev wants 'at least' an http page with their content that doesn't need to be logged in to be seen.

Even #snac and #gotosocial(me!) have full dashboards. I'm sure full on #Mastodon has a detailed admin panel as well.

hhmx.de is my single account instance, that i use do develop my own #Fediverse server named #Mammuthus.

At least i noticed an issue, as the #Fedimeteo posts shows up as public (and not unlisted). Fixed now.

But as unlisted posts are used users can just find #Fedimeteo accounts by searching for accounts, right? Not sure, how visible this is... :-)

2️⃣ My approach is currently "what's the weather now, and soon, the next hours?" and just then "the next days"... maybe a poll would be a good idea?

Hi. #snac doesn't support quoted posts (yet), but given that Mastodon and Pleroma also include a RE: quoted_post_url as the first line in the post body, no information is lost.

i want to mention two things about #Fedimeteo, that i noticed.

1️⃣ On hhmx.de i follow one account @hamburg@de.fedimeteo.com
But it looks like a lot of more cities will be federated to hhmx.de.
Is this really the case? Any why? Default #Snac behavior?
Could this please be changed? Feels like spam...

2️⃣ The order of information in a post is Current - Forecast Days - Forecast Hours.
For me the order Current - Forecast Hours - Forecast Days appears to be more logical and useful. What do you think?

Finally upgraded the #FreeBSD jail running my #snac instance to 14.3. Was about time...

Ich muss irgendwann im Januar meine #Snac Instanz umziehen, leider schließt mein jetziger Provider K&T. Dort wurde damals alles tiptop vorinstalliert, ich musste nur noch Updates machen. Sehr schade also.

Richtig toll wäre es, wenn #Snac2 auf einem #Uberspace laufen könnte, aber zwei (schlampig-schnelle) Tests von mir haben nicht funktioniert, als "copy/paste-Admin" komm ich da leider an meine Grenzen.
Wer könnte mich da später mal evtl. unterstützen?

I have to move my #Snac instance sometime in January, unfortunately my current provider K&T is closing down. Everything was pre-installed perfectly there, I just had to do updates. So it's a real shame.

It would be great if #Snac2 could run on #Uberspace, but two (quick and dirty) tests I did didn't work, and as a "copy/paste admin" I'm unfortunately at my limits.
Who could possibly help me with this later on?

Now, if we could only use our snac addresses with Pixelfed...

Va evolucionando (en mi percepción) a grupo de chat privado. Hace tiempo que pienso en que tengo que purgar gran parte de mi seguidos porque debo haberme equivocado mucho. Su actividad es mínima, si es que la hay, y lo que más percibo son conversaciones de bar de grupos de amigos. Concepto que no es que esté mal pero que te sientes excluido y eso NO es una red social tal y como la he conocido desde las BBS.
Ahora mismo en BlueSky, y siento mencionarlo, cualquier cosa que ocurre en nuestro entorno político, económico, fachoide o similar se comenta, se lleva, se trae... Se emplea el humor y el sarcasmo, y la rabia y el desencanto, y todo da sensación de estar vivos.

Aquí entiendo que no estoy siguiendo a las personas adecuadas porque me niego a creer que sea un erial. No lo dejaré porque tengo mi servidor propio (#snac) y eso me da seguridad pero claro, es como hablarle a mis perras, sólo obtengo alguna mirada curiosa de vuelta.

El problema, veo, no es ganar o perder gente. Es que la gente participe.
