Here's what's weird.

I'm testing a Sony STR-D565 stereo receiver with a pair of Radio Shack Minimus 26 speakers, tiny bookshelf speakers made in the early nineties that I grabbed because they were small and 8 ohms.

I've got to say I'm loving them. Sitting in the same room with my nineties Kenwood preamp and amp and my ELAC UB5s. Of course there's no comparison.

But comparisons aside I'm still loving them. They're so warm and listenable. Hank Jones is playing piano.

ORR! Über eine Stunde versuche ich am Home-Office-Rechner der Frau #Dolby 5.1-Sound einzurichten. Alle Geräte ordentlich eingestellt, Test in der Systemsteuerung einwandfrei und wenn ich ein #Youtube-Testvideo abspiele, ist es nur Stereo.

Suche, Reboot, neu einstellen, testen, wieder nichts, noch mal neu einstellen, Reboot - was ein Kack!

Bis ich in einem #Reddit-Post lese, dass Youtube im Browser nur #Stereo zulässt!

Was für Klappspaten! Meine Zeit, meine Nerven!

Вот, за что люблю Audacity, так это за раздельную нормализацию стерео-каналов
При ремастеринге ситуация, при которой один канал тупо ушёл вбок по панораме из-за кривых настроек оборудования во время записи, просто бесячая, потому что все эффекты будут сильнее влиять на самый громкий канал, а самый тихий обработается вполсилы
(я счас не о моноальбомах Битлз, если кто-то подумал о разделении инструментов на 2 канала как о художественном приёме)
Audacity решает эту проблему в пару кликов
А вот в SoundForge с этим придётся помучиться, мда...

I want two #speakers that can **connect to each other wirelessly for stereo**. Is there a way to search for this? The terms #wireless and #Bluetooth only refer to the connection between the device streaming the #music and the speakers, not to the connection between the speakers.

Is this even a thing to have speakers that can do the left/right of #stereo wirelessly?

I want to place two speakers on two bookshelves and the bookshelves are simply too far apart to be hardwired together.

Quick Stereo Speaker Hack

I have a pair of Paradigm 9S speakers that sound great, but I have felt like something was lacking in them for the entire year I’ve owned them. Until about 30 minutes ago they were on the floor with my original speakers (Klipsch RB-600) sitting on top because I have no other space to store speakers.

After watching the video above I took the 5 minutes I needed to put the RB-600 on the floor to use as ghetto stands to see if it makes the 9S sound different.

Holy shit, like I have a new speaker that sounds 50% better than the old speaker. Simply raising them up made a massive difference in how they sound in the room and in the main listening position.

Now I’ll have to build some real stands at some point.
