Wild one for this week's #GrindayFriday - a trilogy of very brief records by Seattle, Washington's TONGUE BATH. This is 'fastcore' or punk-infused powerviolence and grind. Nothing gross here but some really extreme, cool stuff -- the powerviolence and speed but also some slower, riffy spots. For this #GrindayFriday, something that came out just five years ago but should already be considered a classic. Seattle, Washington's CAUSTIC WOUND gave us this brutal, crushing riffy LP 'Death Posture' in 2020. They have a new one coming end of April-- they're a band to watch. Cropping the cover here, as it's a bit morbid, fair warning. Few songs are over or even reach two minutes long. I love albums that get to the point and don't give up til the end.

I had this badass Soundgarden "Kickstand" shirt around 1995 probably that was done by an artist called Pushead. I wore it til it fell apart. Wish I still had it π They sell for a lot now (see attached sold eBay listing, not mine).

Soundgarden's 'Superunknown' still sounds just as amazing as it did when I bought the CD from Circuit City in 1994 when I was 14. Easily one of the greatest albums of all time. That day, I bought my first 3 CDs ever -- the others being Jar of Flies and Versus. What a YEAR for music 1994 was.
