Jack Rabbit slope at Blue Knob All Seasons Resort was once called Bunny Hop. But because the word "Bunny" gives people the idea that this is a beginner's trail, the name was changed. As you can see from this view, the slope looks gentle and easy. As I stand on my deck, sipping my cocoa and watching the newbies happily gliding past in their determined pizza-wedges, I shake my head and say a little prayer. Just out of camera range the slope changes dramatically. A sharp downward drop and wicked quick right turn and ... you'd better get ready!!!

Finally got everything packed to go ski touring for the next three days.

It'll be the first time for this year, so I'm really excited!

Our destination will be near Wolfenschiessen, Switzerland. With me will be some friends from the DAV (German Alpine Club).
