Just published! đđđ
I posted an article on my website about #Splinter for the sake of good order.
Not as an effort to make people hear about it; I think there was plenty of exposure already.
But I honestly trust my website to survive much longer than my Mastodon account or Splinter itself.
There's a dev #splinter version in https://splinter.almonit.club/.
It always has the latest features. It's not always stable.
Try it out if you're either impatient or have the heart of an adventurer!
The latest version has a new button that forces a post break.
How's this as a #Splinter emoji for a button of "insert post break here"?
For those of you on Masto instances with the silly default char limit, & who for whatever reason are unwilling to move to a better instance:
Thanks to everyone who shared, liked, tried, or gave feedback about #Splinter today!
This attention arrived exactly as I went on a few days bicycle trip without my laptop, so I was actually afraid a bug would crush the app or something and I won't be able to fix it fat enough. But it seems things went mostly smoothly. So phew, and thank you once again.

Cigarette smoke stings his eyes as he pours the gin. His editor crackles from the receiver.
"You know how many writers would kill for the cover story of Fantastic Tales? Just the title, Ben. Tell me you have it."
"Time... splinter."
"Time splinter?"
"Time splinter."
"Eh... sure. Just get me 4000 words by tomorrow."
Mia put Kamaria down in her cot. âSleepy time.â
âIt wonât #splinter them, would it?â said Tom.
âDepends on the talk,â said Mia. âBut Dan & Ava are solid.â
âIf Danâs changed his mind & Ava hasnât?â
âI donât think Dan has.â
âYou seem to know my best friend better than me.â #vss365
Currently #Splinter server saves the authentication token in order to make Mastodon posts.
But Is it possible to make it client side only? I think yes!
We can store the authentication token in the browser local storage, and then use it to post directly.
You don't really give away any security or privacy, since losing this token is equivalent to lose the authentication cookie stored now.
I might implement it later own if there is enough demand.
Today is the last day you can use #splinter before its official release.
History in the making, or something like that đ
A small bug fix in #Splinter today. The visibility drop-down went off the screen in mobile mode. Well, it's not before!

Who here wants to read the summary of my Vibe Democracy article before I publish it?
The idea is to use AI automation in the democratic process to make the process "closer" to the individual, hence more democratic.
I know it sounds terrible! I know! But you can't be sure it's really terrible till you hear me out, right?
(I'm looking for motivation, plus an excuse to further use #Splinter to write a long thread -- https://splinter.hastily.cc/)
Getting ready to publish #Splinter. The repo is up. I choose Codeberg as an effort to avoid Github. Let's see how it goes.
Now over to the blue with FrightClub who is showing Oklahoma-based horror film #Splinter ! It's so gross! I can't wait! Thanks, #TVMysteries ! Will mumble dishonestly through testimony with you next week!
If I ever have to dig a bullet out of one of my kids - I hope it's the younger one.
She squeaks all sorts of ways, but damn if she doesn't hold still.
The teenager squirms.
