The simplicity of #Apple #Passwords has its benefits, however, coming from #Strongbox (and previously #1Password), there are still few things I’d love to see getting added in future releases:
• Separate email and username fields.
• Better groups or tag support.
• A keyboard shortcut to quickly reveal the password.
• Proper keyboard support in the menu bar app.
Despite the claims made otherwise, #Strongbox is not #OpenSource software.

6. Small developer in UK. Not clear where the "StrongBox Pro Sync" service lives, but it is not required for synch because you can use any file in the (local or remote-mounted) filesystem, SFTP or WebDAV to wherever, or multiple commercial cloud storage tools.
1. Native KeePass 2 vault format, so other programs can use the encrypted vault files. Each device has a complete copy of each vault, which can be opened offline if you have the passphrase, key file, or physical security key used to encrypt it.
2. Includes multiple peer-to-peer (ish) and cloud-based synch options including SFTP & WebDAV. Works with Syncthing/MobiusSync if you want to be truly masterless. Has bespoke synch service of their own.

3. Runs on macOS and iOS, licensed per-platform not per-device. License is shareable across 6 devices via Apple Family Sharing. Vaults can be shared freely amongst any number of KeePass-compatible programs on any platform.
4. SBP itself only runs on iOS and macOS, but its vault files are usable by any KeePass-compatible tool.
5. Exports as CSV or KeePass. Imports from KeePass, 1Pass, LastPass, iCloud Keychain (via exported CSV) and others. (2/3)

@Schimmelreiter bin dran auf jeden Fall und als Passwortmanager nutze ich #Strongbox pro seit 1Password nur noch als Cloud Version verfügbar war, kann ich nur empfehlen!

- works seamlessly across devices and operating systems
- can hold more secrets than just username and passwords
- supports sharing with family
- will still work for my family without me, in case something happens
- looks trustworthy to me

Ich habe mir das Vorgehen bei anderen Käufen der Firma angeschaut und beschlossen, dass ich ihr NICHT vertraue.
Sofort gewechselt zu #KeePassium. Mindestens genauso gut und #EuropäischeAlternative und #OpenSource. Arbeitet über #NextCloud mit #WebDAV hervorragend mit #KeePassXC zusammen.

While I don't known too much about Applause, Reddit is not pleased at all. And generally if someone pays money (hopefully a lot because Strongbox is nice) they expect to earn it back with interest.
Maybe they do it by making strongbox better and growing the user base, but usually it's too temping to milk the existing userbase.
I might give ProtonPass a try, or go back to Secrets, unless I remember why I switched away :-) or there is always Apple Passwords. Having it half enabled (for passkeys) is quite annoying so maybe I'll see how bad the new apps are. They seem to have family sharing nowadays.
Anyone have other suggestions for good native #passwordmanager ?
