@HOAXILLA @fraunora @ChristianStoecker @SophiaKrappweis @TommyKrappweis coole folge. Nur eines habe ich vermisst. Neben Wahlen gibt es noch eine weitere demokratische Form der beteiligung. Demonstrationen. Also neben Bücher schenken, Briefe schreiben und andere Menschen aufklären können wir auch den öffentlichen Diskurs durch Demonstrationen lenken. Da kommt der CO2 Handabdruck wieder ins Spiel.
In Augsburg gibt es regelmäßig 15 min Demos vom @klimacampaugsburg und die landen häufig in der Zeitung. Obwohl nur 5–10 Menschen dran teilnehmen. Muss also nicht mal die mega 10k Menschen FFF demo sein. Lokal geht da richtig viel. Ganz nach dem Motto #ThinkGlobalActLocal.
In München ist demnächst ein Klimacamp am Königsplatz. Da gibt es super viel Vernetzung und Workshops in genau diese Richtung. Und ich bin mir sicher auch ein paar fans. (Also mindestens einen 🤭) Würde mich freuen zu hören was ihr da so für Eindrücke gesammelt habt.

From Byker Mutual Aid creating a social space on a Newcastle estate to Climate cafes across Cornwall, a Footprints Women’s Centre slow food club for families in Belfast to growing citizen science in Monmouth - there are too many highlights to pick from!
Transition groups will start new projects, work with young people and expand local food, enterprises and community spaces where more people can come together to tackle the biggest issues of our time with positive action.
Thanks to generous funding from The National Lottery Community Fund and Lottery players, Transition groups across Wales, England and Northern Ireland will share in £269,500.
We know from past experience that amazing things grow from Transition Together seed funding. Seedfunding coordinator Richard Couldrey said they were faced with many tough choices: “We received nearly half a million pounds of worthy grant applications - it shows the richness of ideas, energy and creativity in the Transition movement right now. We’ll be working hard to secure the resources to offer seed funding again in the future, as we know its reaching into the heart of communities and unlocking real impact.”
We’ll be sharing more stories on our social media of the wonderful things Transition groups are doing to address local issues, connect communities, try new solutions and change their world in the weeks and months ahead. Now the fun begins!
