Not able to change legal name (because of stupid laws) causes a lot of trouble :( For example when I have to fill out a customs clearance form and the package has my name on it, but for some of the fields I have to use my legal name (the name I'm not using anywhere else, only for contracts, gov 💩, etc). Imagine that someone forced you to transition to a gender you don’t identify with against your will and without your consent. This would constitute a horrible and grotesque form of violence, right?
Puberty is a transition: just because most people have experienced it, didn’t have to do anything special to make it happen, and identified with the gender they got doesn’t make it any less so.

I gave the would-be patient some information I had printed off about the process, which they gratefullly received.
The staff upstairs hadn't been at all sympathetic, and when I spoke to them after I had spoken to the would-be patient they were still unsympathetic. To add insult to injury I was also given a roasting by my senior for going into the interview room with them. #TransIssues #TransAdvocacy #Equality
To add insult to injury, I found out that my Dad and Stepmom are not supportive at all. They say one thing to me, but shittalk me, say transphobic things. (my sister got in a big fight defending me)
Namely the "[deadname] is a grown ass man, and can do whatever he wants".
"he really expects us to call him 'she'?" (apparently this is the rhetoric for months now)
"im not calling him Brooke. My niece is like my daughter to me!" (context: i vaguely met this step-niece once. Her name is Brooke. Oopsie. She is 5? 6? Also, shes been my stepmom since I was 7. Am I not her own child to her?)
"how are we going to explain this to [niece] Brooke?"
And other not nice things that exemplified shame. They feel shame for me and want to keep this a secret in the family.
I feel like I dont have that unconditional love that I was always told I had :/. Fucking sucks. (emotionwise, im okay. It just... I dont want to deal with this. Ya know? Like backburner this shit. Lol. I aint got da spoons 🥄)

The irony is I thought my mother would have a hard time, but shes my biggest ally! Apparently she goes around defending trans arguments now! And tells all her girlfriends and such. Its cute. Shes proud. I love her so much 💜
While even temporarily halting these policies to out transgender students in California is at least something. Its ultimately not good enough, these policies need to be premaritally eradicated; as they never should have been proposed in the first place

I just did my first call with a therapist. It was nerve wracking, I hate talking to people. I hate talking to people about myself even more. After a few minutes of intro she suggested I need someone with a different skill focus. Namely, more specific to trans issues (instead of a general LGBTQ range) and the process of getting top-surgery.
She was very nice and offered to network within her "group" to see if there's anyone in my state more knowledgeable to set me up with.
So now I get to do the nerve wracking internal dialogue and nail biting all over again.😓😖
