Reeves crumbles. I am always fascinated by the way that some believe that leaving some enormous protected cache of wealth will be good for their descendants. At a gut level, maybe, ‘I earned it why can’t the kids have it all’ but observation tends to lead to the conclusion that it really does them no good at all and certainly concentration of wealth begets more inequality and slower development. I contend that if you wish me to respect the "common humanity" of a #billionaire and his paid lackeys languishing at the bottom of the #abyss, you are morally obligated to first prove the #humanity of the billionaire, who assuredly did not become a billionaire by respecting the "common humanity" of the people he exploited to gain his #wealth.

No living billionaire created the #privilege that granted them #unearned riches, but they made a conscious #choice to perpetuate it.
