Yey! I sent v3 for OnePlus 6 actuator driver upstream 🚀.
Big thanks to @okias@floss.social
He was really kind and cool 🐱 🤝 🐱
Without his reminders, this patch will likely never be sent 🙀

I should mention we’re adding new bug-fix patches, but as upstreaming continues, we expect the number of downstream-carried patches to drop significantly with each new -next tree tag.

The #upstreaming has begun with my private #FrostWire fork!
Up first: getting rid of the Helper Apps options on #Linux. This will simplify things more and drop some native code.
I have only one requirement for (new) ARM based SBCs: it must boot official Debian or Fedora (pre)releases and have at least some basic functionality!
I am not interested in some "alternative" distribution (e.g. armbian) with a bunch of patches and/or "custom kernels" that will never be upstreamed. Cool you made it work, but I can't use that for anything serious. This makes the selection very very small unfortunately 😞
#Jazda is making #upstreaming progress. It's now a supported board in #TockOS ! Very bare bones, but I'm working on adding drivers.
Just send Amlogic DT patches for v5.19: https://lore.kernel.org/all/1e5179ab-2d92-0d64-c57b-e002ec2f0806@baylibre.com/ & https://lore.kernel.org/all/fbd7cbe7-1fe9-7009-37d6-c01b15c93032@baylibre.com/
The changes are mainly fixups & S4 platform bringup from Amlogic themselves. #linux #upstreaming #linux-meson
@DestinationLinux had a reasonably extended discussion in 133 about #Purism's #Librem5, starting a few seconds before the 1 hour mark. Much of it revolved around how other online conversations are less about the #Linux (the #GNOME, #Phosh, #upstreaming, etc. work) and more about the company.
But hey, they had other things on their agenda.
