Excited to have my first food from the allotment. It may only be a few radishes but to me they represent persistence and hard work!

Still new to having an allotment, but growing monster veg is fun! Here is the first black Spanish winter radish to be pulled. Hope it tastes OK. " this is a large root vegetable that grows up to tennis-ball size, and keeps in the ground overwinter for you to pull up and use in soups, stews and stir-fries." Tennis ball for size. #VegGrowing #GrowYourOwn #allotment

Just harvested my 'Christmas' potatoes...
Also picked a good handful of Wild Kale and Nero de Toscana Kale for dinner tonight.
Turnips are still doing well in the greenhouse raised bed as are the carrots. We had a mouse go through a lot of the 'greens' and Radishes, they lost almost all their tops... Now I have moved the mouse on, at least the one, the plants will bounce back, slowly..!

More seaweed added to the now growing potato slips.
Not much to use down on the beach. We've had no 'bad' weather for a while now..! What seaweed there was/is has been at the high tide line for a while and is well dried out.
Still, once it is on the potato beds and given a watering it will serve its 'mulching' purpose.
