I want a water #LeakDetector that has some simple features. But no one seems to make it.
1) Local alert (buzz) - If my #SmartHome home goes down, the sensor should still be useful
2) Wall power with battery backup - Changing batteries is ridiculous
3) Works via #ZWave - Mesh network + bonding!

It seems the time has come to get a ZWave adapter for my Homeassistant setup. I can only seem to find outdoor power monitor plugs in ZWave flavor and not in the Zigbee flavor.
If any of you have a recommended Zigbee outdoor power monitor plug that can be used in the US, hit me up!
Every year around this time I get a reminder about why I made an effort to get rid of ZWave in favor of ZigBee. All my outdoor plugs which are based on ZWave lose their minds, and it takes thirty minutes of trial and error until I can get them paired again. The ZigBee and WiFi plugs, on the other hand, just work literally out of the box.
I received this sticker in my delivery of Zooz Z-wave devices this week and, well, I love it! Though I will say, we’ve been running Home Assistant for years now and it’s been rock solid.

Migrated my zwave network today to the HA ZWA-2. Current setup was using zwave-js-ui and the zooz zst39. This was even easier than the zigbee migration. Probably because of the hardware I was migrating from. Stopped the zwave device, and then backed up the nvm, switched the device, restored the nvm to the new device, rebuilt routes and all was back up. Took about 15 minutes or so.
This weekends projects. Ordered the Home Assistant ZBT-2 and ZWA-2 from Apollo Automation. They handle shipping in Canada. Came the next day. Love it.

Are you using the built-in Zwave or zwave-js? I run zwaveJS and it has been reliable for me.
Extra bonus was that since I run it in docker I can run it on a different host than the proxmox node that #HAOS runs on.
