От беспроводных экспериментов к стабильной системе: год с умным домом

Сергей давно интересуется домашней автоматизацией и любит разбираться в технологиях глубже, чем даже продвинутый пользователь. Несколько лет назад он собрал умный дом в предыдущей квартире на беспроводных устройствах: Zigbee-датчики, кнопки, один из популярных шлюзов. Он пробовал разные сценарии, экспериментировал с mesh-сетью. На практике система работала, но не всегда предсказуемо. Устройства периодически «отваливались», свет включался с задержкой, а работа сценариев зависела от интернета. Этот опыт закрепил мысль: надежную автоматизацию без проводов не построишь. Когда семья купила новую трехкомнатную квартиру площадью 102 м², Сергей решил реализовать эту идею на практике. Он основательно переделал планировку: изменил геометрию комнат, выделил прачечную, оптимизировал два санузла, добавил зоны хранения. Параллельно он прорабатывал архитектуру умного дома. После неудачного опыта с беспроводными решениями он сделал упор на надежности и локальной логике, которая не зависит от интернета и облачных платформ. Интегратор «Демос», к которому он обратился, предложил собрать систему на базе программируемого контроллера и модулей расширения. I've been having a few issues with my ZigBee network.

Previously I was just using the cheap Lidl coordinator but decided to upgrade.

At only £30ish picked up this Sonoff Dongle Max, it's POE (but also USB C pwr + WiFi capable) and showed up instantly on my home assistant.

Everything migrated over within minutes, so far I think it seems a lot snappier.

Bruh I love #Zigbee smart switches, with #HomeAssistant. Just installed one yest for our water pump, and now I could set up a schedule for when the water pump should be running or not. If these switches were cheaper, I could've get a lot more of em switches i.e. for lights and such, so that I could configure it so that e.g. turning on the lights in the bathroom would also turn the water pump on, and whatnot.

Has anyone seen a panel of physical buttons that can be used with Home Assistant?

I now have an array of individual zigbee buttons on my desk to control lamps, blinds, and alike in my home office.

What I am looking for is something like the Elgato Stream Deck but doesn't require a host computer to be turned on all the time. Wifi, Bluetooth, or Zigbee would be ok as long as it works with Home Assistant. I haven't gone down the Thread/Matter route yet but that would also be ok.

That's a strange interaction.

This two cheap zigbee buttons only trigger an action on the FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro when I simultaneously toggle the "Enable/Disable" toggle in the webinterface as if it was a switchable power outlet.

It seems the time has come to get a ZWave adapter for my Homeassistant setup. I can only seem to find outdoor power monitor plugs in ZWave flavor and not in the Zigbee flavor.

If any of you have a recommended Zigbee outdoor power monitor plug that can be used in the US, hit me up!

Months ago I bought a Stream Deck to set up with #HomeAssistant to control some stuff. This, predictably, has not yet made itself happen.

The other day I saw a post where a person just mounted multiple individual #Zigbee buttons to a wall. Easy to implement, costs the same, and no less effective. Wish I had thought of that.

Dear #HomeAssistant and #Zigbee users, It seems that the small IKEA light button cannot handle more than a few lamps and does not support Zigbee groups. When looking for a replacement on AliExpress, I cannot tell if Zigbee group support is available. Can anyone recommend a discreet button to place on a wall? Perhaps a single tre-gang button set like the Zemismart Zigbee Wireless Scene Switch?

This is supported in both #Zigbee2MQTT and #ZHA

So far the Home Assistant ZBT-2 seems weaker than my Conbee 2. Maybe its somehow more susceptible to the interference in my house?
