I “discovered” #MorecambeAndWise last night. Not that I hadn’t heard of them before; their show was running while my family lived in England, but somehow we never watched it. (most likely, it was on at the same time as a show we watched regularly on another channel) They seemed like a more debonair version of #AbbottAndCostello. I was especially impressed with their precision timing and lightning fast repartee, all while making it look easy.

"Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" is a #WorldWarII #jumpBlues song written by #DonRaye and #HughiePrince which was introduced by #TheAndrewsSisters in the #AbbottAndCostello #comedyFilm #BuckPrivates (1941). The Andrews Sisters' Decca recording reached number six on the U.S. pop singles chart in the spring of 1941 when the film was in release. The song is ranked No. 6 on #SongsOfTheCentury.
