Yikes. My #medicare part D premium is going from $11 to $73 a month.
The most egregious thing I’ve received in the mail from them recently: the medication deductible goes from $0 to $650 for only the following meds:
#Adderall,
#Gabapentin (I take it for hot flashes but people who can’t get real pain meds take it for pain); and
Vaginal estrogen cream. (#estradiol )
I guess I should shut up and be grateful it’s not happening with my migraine medication or oxycodone. Good thing I started stockpiling the hell out of that estrogen cream when the war on trans people started winning, just in case someone I know needed it. But WTF?!

@LightFIAR I was looking at the 2026 formulary for my #medicare drug coverage & it could give me “pricing” for every medication I take except the generic #adderall. That showed up as “unavailable”. It’s on the formulary for now, but I am nervous they’re going to end coverage and tell those of us with #ADHD that we just need sun on or anus or something.
Oh look- the manufacturer of the oxycodone I was complaining about here last week also makes terrible Adderall according to this person. I feel validated by a random internet stranger. 💜 Aurobindo is worse in my opinion & when I googled them I saw they manufacture in the US now so I am afraid their crap adderall will be back.

The company filed for bankruptcy in 2020 and 2023 due to the financial weight of numerous serious lawsuits. Mallinckrodt has (“allegedly”) perpetuated the opioid crisis, had countless regulatory and compliance failures, and thousands of complaints from patients regarding inefficacy across a spectrum of different generics.
I’m posting this because I spent 2 weeks trying to figure out what was going on with me before I realized that my medication was not working, or even actively working against me rather than helping me. I had no clue that such shitty generics could even be in circulation and thus this did not immediately occur to me. Upon doing some research it appears I am not alone in having issues with Mallinckrodt-manufactured medication. Of course, efficacy can depend on the individual, but for me, taking this medication has made me feel worse than taking nothing at all.”

It took a whole week but Wallgreens was able to obtain 10 mg IR Adderall despite the shortage (maybe it’s over or this dose wasn’t as back ordered?) Walmart can probably get it too since they used to use the same distributor.

@Gardenermerc @ProPublica I was able to find out that Walgreens and Walmart stock teva adderall as a generic, I was getting ready to pay full price out-of-pocket if I had to because I got so tired of getting terrible unpleasant side effects from cheap knock offs.
