I just watched #AlienRomulus on DVD. I liked it better than #Furiosa which I gave a 6 & I liked it better than #Fury Road which I gave a 7.
So, just to be consistent, I'd give #Romulus an 8. However, I'd drop all those ratings by 1 when compared with better films.
The ending in #Romulus was just as predictable as the ending in Furiosa but I found the movie more engaging & it had some surprises along the way that I wasn't expecting.
I liked that way that the main character channels #Ripley.
In terms of the chronology of events Romulus apparently comes between #Alien1 (1976) & #Aliens2 (1986).
Didn't like the weird hybrid #Alien all that much but it made sense in the context of the film & it's a nod to the hybrid in #AlienResurrection (1997) which comes much later in the series.

Not great by any means but not terrible. More of a fun action movie like the AvP movies.
Enjoyed watching Ripley be a superhuman and Sigourney Weaver clearly enjoyed playing the mother to the aliens.
