Surprised by the desire
For once not to rush, the
Ambitious young poet,
Always on the search for
Another universal truth,
Slows his pace to match
His sister’s sedate carriage.
They #amble now, through
Trees and bushes, until they
Reach the edge of this
Stilling wood, and the air
Motionless, and in front
Of them that carpet of yellow,
The hovering single cloud, the
Hoarse rushing of the sea
In the distance, and peace
At last.

a hedgehog, snuffling
ambles through leafy hands
without spectacles or plans
unlike me, never scrambling

Tam isn't one to #amble her way through the mall, but today was different. There were fewer people to navigate through. In fact, there was no one at the mall today on this bright 10 AM day. Not even a security guard strolled past her. It was rather nice.
I #amble through the park as the sun illuminates an autumnal scene. Rudbeckias and asters still buzz with bees. The air is cool. It smells fresh, spicy. For a moment, I forget the pain in my foot, the strains, and the distance between us.
