What is the proper way to backup #Android before giving it away for service (and wiping it clean beforehand)? I don't have issues with use data, what I have problems with - application data and configuration. It usually is painfully time-consuming to restore all apps an configs. I wish it was as easy as rsync $HOME on #Linux.

P.S. ideally process should not involve cloud service.

I use @fedilab@framapiaf.org because it's for me the best #Mastodon app anyway. And it's also the best app to see all replies on Pixelfed at once.

I use @PixelDroid@fosstodon.org because you can have a template with hashtags for posting, a feature I really miss in all other apps. (Android only)

And I use @Pixelix@mastodon.social for scrolling through my time line, because it has the home feed, the local and the global one in a nice UI. It's for me the best UI of all apps tbh. It also respects my picture collection. ( iOS and Android)

I use all the apps on Android, but fell free to add iOS apps too!. I prefer having Open Source apps from @fdroidorg@floss.social

I switched from #Feeder to #ReadYou as my favorite #RSS #app. The user interface in "Read You" is much cleaner and more visually appealing. It feels more modern and intuitive, which makes browsing through articles more enjoyable. I also find the readability to be significantly better, the fonts, spacing, and layout make it easier on the eyes. Overall, it just offers a more pleasant and efficient reading experience.

Recently I made a Matrix account and got Element X on Android. It said I needed a Push Provider.... So I chose Sunup. It worked without a hitch, but little did I know... It fixed the fact I never got any of my #Tusky / #Mastodon notifications!! It also required a Push Provider!
