I bought a cheapo game pad, FroggieX X-360, to play some racing game with my son (4.5 years old, and yes, I’m a bad parent 😈) today. He played it with his friends yesterday and liked it, so I wanted to try to play it with him.
This is the first pad I ever owned, so I cannot tell if it’s bad one or not, but it works on Linux with kernel version 6.18.2 and Flatpak’s Steam. To my surprise I needed to disable “Steam Input” for controller to work.
The game sucks, and it’s pay to win, so I’ll mercifully omit its title. But my son doesn’t care, and if dad and mum or his friends play it with him, he is totally over the moon. At this age it’s more important for him to somebody play with him than the game content.
